Conterra ALS Extreme Pack - Olive Drab (OD) Green Reviews
Conterra ALS Extreme (Black/Yellow/Green), December 28, 2011 By This review is from: Conterra ALS Extreme Pack - Olive Drab (OD) Green (Misc.) I picked thick pack after using it hiking with our ambulance company. In the past few years Woodburn Ambulance in Woodburn/Mt Angel/Silverton Oregon has tested a lot of ALS packs due to our fire district. Thy were looking for one pack that they could use for daily use in homes/ retirement facilities, and on the side of the road. But the pack was really picked with canyon walking in mind. The ambulance tested several models but settled on this pack in their second round of field testing after another pack started falling apart after just a few years.

Having an O2 cylinder makes it feel weird, but it feels way better than any of the other packs i have used that were designed for long distance rescue. My fire district currently has one of these kits with numerous inserts (further driving up the price) but it is really modular and color coded when you open it up. My volunteers see a different kit with a different layout... Read more
