A pretty awesome pack, September 10, 2011 By Spyro "spyroa" (Arcadia, Ca USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Osprey Raptor 18 Daypack (Sports) I've spent every day of the last 5 weeks with this pack on my back between mt biking, traveling and school.
First, I was very impressed by the construction of the pack. It is extremely well constructed with high quality materials. I love the stretchy material on the outside pocket and ultra-light but strong shoulder straps.
For mt. biking, it fits all of my tools, spare parts, food and hydration easily and keeps it organized. The stuff area, between the 2 main pockets, is a great place to stash a very light shell rain jacket.
For traveling, it makes a great little day pack. My wife and I were traveling in Turkey and Greece during the summer so lots of heat, sun and walking were on the agenda. I filled the 3L bladder and then kept 2 1.5L bottles of water in the main compartment along with our dslr camera. In the smaller pocket, I put various items like sunscreen, aloe, wallets, a couple of snacks and etc. In the stretchy pocket, we would keep a... Read more

Overall, a good pack, July 4, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Osprey Raptor 18 Daypack (Misc.) I've had my Raptor 18 for a little over a month, and I use it primarily to carry my work clothes and lunch when I ride to work. So here are my thoughts on this pack.
Good:
The Raptor 18 is well constructed
It's designed to be ergonomic to the user and succeeds in that area
It can hold a reasonable amount of stuff- assuming you aren't trying to pack the kitchen sink, too
Everything can be cinched snug so the pack doesn't shift while you're riding
Large water reservoir
Good no questions asked customer support with an easily navigated website
Not so good:
It's a bit pricey to be needing customer support after only a month
I have concerns about the water reservoir design, as it sprung a leak around the bottom of the handle
The replacement reservoir creates a crease that could chaff the handle or tear in the same area that the original reservoir tore. I'm only filling it with about 1 liter of water, so overfilling isn't... Read more

Best day pack I own, January 30, 2013 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Osprey Raptor 18 Daypack (Sports) The size of the bladder is perfect. I am over happy with this daypack. This one does not have alot of room for storage, but will hold everything I need to take. It forces me to limit my items to what I actually need.
