Works well for small women, too, August 31, 2011 I'm 5'0 and 115 pounds, and this fits me well. Plus, it's pretty distinctive on the airport conveyor belt. I mostly use it as a travel bag (much easier to catch trains and buses with a backpack than a rolling suitcase). Sometimes hits my head, but don't they all?

In 29 years of backpacking I still haven't found a waterproof pack except a dry-bag, (they can leak too) That's why Osprey had the good sense to provide a rain-cover that is integral with the pack so kids couldn't loose it! I think that the quality is fantastic, fun designs and specially designed to be ergonomic with loads of adjustment for growing kids.There's not a lot of point in giving your kids an uncomfortable experience to get them into the back-country. We got ours last year and love them, my wife can fit into the Ace 46L.

Some of the nice features on this pack include the adjustable harness, the built in raincover, and the small web pocket on the front harness straps. Be careful! This pack is NOT waterproof. I tested it by pouring water on the body and it went right through. Use the raincover and bag everything inside! My overall impression is good, but definitely not up to the same build qualtity as adult Osprey packs.
