I like how durable this backpack is and how it has many compartments. What really bothers me is the construction of the straps: they have a very scratchy mesh material that rubs against my skin. For this reason, I always have to be wearing a tshirt, which is sometimes obnoxious when I am hiking or traveling, otherwise, the material rubs my skin kind of raw. For this reason, I am giving it 3 stars. If the straps had been different, I would have given it 5 stars.

I bought this pack for two uses: (1) For personal items while camping and (2) for biking to school. I just got back from the Boundary Waters and it held up very well - the side straps are particularly helpful if you pack this thing full like I did. The internal plastic frame works well for keeping everything organized, and it's removable via a velcro pocket.

There is plenty of pocket space/compartment area in this pack and I'm ready to fill it up with books/my laptop this fall. I recommend this pack for anyone who wants a multi-purpose pack, and like all Kelty prodcuts - it's made very well. My dad has Kelty packs and tents that have lasted 20+ years, I have full faith this pack will be the same.
