Awesome Bug Out Bag, March 11, 2013 By This review is from: Jumbo Modular Field Pack (Misc.) I have used these bags for 10 years. Every deployment I have been on was with one of these bags. The description does not do it justice. The bag is tough canvas that has tons of space. The backpad has a space behind it in which you can run the backstraps to hide if you wanna carry it like a suitcase. The sides have compressions straps and a zipper that runs the entire perimeter of the bag (tucking away compressed sidewall material) allowing you to compress the pack to a perfect fit for flight carryon. It has straps in the main compartment so you can compress and contain whatever you're packing. Each pocket has an interior pocket, slot, or organizer for anything you may need. it's comfortable and spacious. For about $50 you won't do better.

Forget about a 72 hour bag, more like a 7 day bag. I thought I had filled this thing up and found an entire other space on the back to fill! And even filled to capacity, this unit carries on your back like a dream. So many extra molle space and even outer rings that already have a 48 inch machete and tac knife attached too. A little on the pricey side, but well worth it in my opinion. I spent WAY too much time researching alot of other bags, but I'm so glad i bought this one in the end.

The reason why I gave it a 4 star rating is becasue one of the side straps after one trip was barely hanging on. The bag itself is pretty good. The back compartment are great to put a 15-17" laptop in. This is what i was more worried about. Since I use this to go back and forth to work, it has held up great except for that side strap. Truthfully those straps are there to I guess squish down the bag, so it didn't hurt my feelings that it went. The amount of pockets on this thing is awesome too.
