All the bells and whistles, October 24, 2012 By R. I was deciding between this bag and a slightly smaller one that was the same price, and went for this one because in the pictures I could see some straps on the side of the bag, and I thought, "perhaps those are for a tripod." And since the other one didn't have any straps but was the same price, I figured I wouldn't lose anything by taking the bet that I could carry a tripod with this bag. And guess what? I can! I don't know that I'd go jogging with a tripod strapped in, but for walking around it's great. Plus it carries almost all of my gear (I'm still at the stage where I want to have everything with me all the time) and is pretty comfortable. Much more comfortable than a shoulder bag, anyway. I did find it a little awkward to get used to putting on and taking off because the strap goes from the right shoulder to the left hip, and as a right-handed person I'm used to wearing cross-body bags from my left shoulder to my right hip. I am blown away by this bag. My Nikon D5100 fits perfectly inside. There are a bunch of compartments for everything you may need. It's comfortable and I definitely like the built in rain cover. Being an avid hiker and nature photographer it definitely comes in handy living in Florida.
