Disappointing quality in the spider monkey backpack, January 7, 2013 This review is from: Spider Monkey Backpack (Misc.) The spider monkey safety vest compatible backpack is very disappointing. I ordered it in sept 2012, hunted the entire Virginia season (thru end of December) and had the following problems: The fabric inside the pack tore (though nothing sharp was stored inside the pack) and the chest strap frayed nearly through. I also bought the safety vest (the marketing claim is the pack clips into the vest...which it was does) which was also a disappointment. The two top clips tore free of the safety vest (Robinson informed me they have discontinued this model of safety vest). The combo cost over $200 and I expected many years of quality function. I am returning the product to Robinson Outdoors (the manufacturer). I will post a short summary on their response. I advise against purchasing this product, but if you do...keep your receipt. Robinson will not take a return without it. Note I only carried extra clothing and food/drink in the pack (no sharp objects)and the pack never weighed more... Read more
