Useful novelty backpack, February 5, 2011 By This review is from: Sea To Summit Ultra-Sil Daypack (Misc.) This novel weightless backpack is quite useful. It almost packs into the tiny built-in stuff sack; small enough to easily put in a jacket pocket, purse or glove compartment, but too big for comfort in my pants pocket. It holds a decent volume - about as much as a small bookbag-backpack or sling sack. A bag of groceries, for instance. Or a small load of laundry - I use it regularly for five T-shirts, socks, underwear, and a pair of pants. Hard objects will stick out, into your back if you are not careful. But they won't break through. The material is strong, though very thin. I'm careful with it. It is pretty waterproof, which most small backpacks aren't at all. The straps are barely sufficient. You have to carefully lay the straps flat on your shoulders to avoid them cutting in. The strap adjusters work well, and are important for getting a bearable weight distribution. I can't walk far with it filled unless I have a heavy jacket to pad my shoulders, so it isn't for a day hike or... Read more
