Good hiking backpack, April 5, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This backpack costs more than others I have previously purchased, but it is very high quality. The inside of the bag contains many pockets and compartments that allow you to hold extra items separate. I use it frequently for hiking or just as a bag; and after using it for two months it is still in good shape. I have noticed that it is not totally waterproof, however: do not leave electronics in here during heavy rain or allow the bag to be submerged.
EDIT: After six months, the bag has gotten beat up a bit. I have used it heavily, but the material had a small rip on the inside and a zipper broke off. I was able to repair the zipper in a matter of minutes using round nose pliers, but the rip I have left. Bottom line: a good bag, but for $80 a more durable bag is probably out there

Shoddy craftsmanship, November 1, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: OverBoard Adventure Backpack (Sports) I bought this product thinking it would be nice to have a fairly water resistant backpack for school. After I had it for less that 6 moths the bottom fell apart and my stuff fell out. I called the company that makes them and they had me ship it to them. I then got an email saying that they would replace it this one time but that it was not normal wear and tear so they would not do this again. When I received the replacement it looked poorly made. the rubber like lower part was all bubbled and started coming apart after a few weeks. Now 5 months later the whole front zipper has come apart there is a tear developing in the top inside compartment. I am extremely disappointed in the product. An 80 dollar backpack should last more than 6 months.
Water resistant, at minimum, March 28, 2013 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: OverBoard Adventure Backpack (Sports) I took this camping, and there was a thunderstorm. Tent was soaking wet inside and out, bag was soaking wet, but all contents were dry!
