Awesome. But smaller than you think., March 16, 2010 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Arc'teryx Mistral 8 Side Bag (Apparel) This is a great little bag. Read the review on it's big brother (Mistral 16). This bag is almost identical just miniaturized. There is also a video review of the Mistral 8 on YouTube (in Korean) that shows you all the features. I found that all the pockets were in the right places with neither too many nor too few. I love the closure system (like a dry-sac for white water rafting) and the way the closure system simultaneously holds your water bottle externally. The only issue I found is that this probably should have been made in a 9 or 10 liter size. The mini-laptop pocket inside the main compartment is slightly too small for my netbook (11 inch screen). I can just barely fit it in and close it, but it is far too tight a fit and isn't easily done (I can't use the water bottle holder if I want to carry my netbook). It's a bit disappointing in that regard as it takes away a fair amount of the utility. Yet the 16L version is too big for what I want it for.
