Light weight, plenty of room in the large pockets. I was looking for an intermediate day-hiking pack, larger than my 1800 cubic inch Kelty and not as large as my 3100 cubic inch overnight Kelty. This fits the bill perfectly with the weight taken off by not having a large backpackers belt. I used this pack for the first time last week hiking in the Green Mountains of New Hampshire and it was perfect.

I bought this backpack mostly for day hikes, but also as an extra pack for day trips. Every feature of the pack continues to work well for my needs. The mesh side pockets hold my water bottles, the padded shoulder straps maintain weight distribution, and the several pockets securely hold my hiking accessories. The backpack has a sleek appearance, and yet has a rugged, durable design. I especially like the reinforced handle strap on the very top, which enables me to place and remove the pack from my car with ease.

I have been using the bag for the month and as I write this I am going to order a 3rd replacement. It seems as if the zipper construction is not that great. The pull on the zipper came loose, most likely because the adhesive that is used to keep the string the in the rubber pull is not that great. Other than that the bag is big. I have been able to carry 3 1000 page text books with my computer. When I have a large load in the bag it does not feel heavy which is good.
