So overpriced. Rod digs into your glutes, bad suspension system. Save your money., July 16, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Columbia Sportswear Unisex Adult Mobex Float AR Backpack (Sports) Cool Idea, but that's about it. Took me just 5 minutes of walking around the house to come this conclusion. I was looking for a reason to keep it because i hate returning stuff but i just couldn't find one. I got this bag based on it's description of being lightweight and having this "Floating Suspension system." The suspension system consists of a bungee cord that connects the shoulder straps to the bag itself. I put 4 bottles of water and the bag started sagging. You can adjust the tension to decrease the sag but it doesn't do much. There are also these rods that form like an exoskeleton. For what purpose i don't know. It makes that "X" as you can see in the picture. It's kinda cool because it continues to the bottom of the bag and causes it to stand the bag upright if you place it on the ground. But what you don't see in the picture is that the rods also extend to the hip belt and stops at your glutes between your tail bone and pelvis. It sucks because that rod digs in and... Read more
great day pack for the tall, January 16, 2013 By zezty (The fabulous state of Oklahoma) - See all my reviews This review is from: Columbia Sportswear Unisex Adult Mobex Float AR Backpack (Sports) Fantastic backpack!! I purchased this pack primarily for hiking, it is listed as being for biking, but because I have a habit of boulder hopping, its suspension allows for movement when going from boulder to boulder. The clam-shell opening is good as long as you do not have anything heavy in the outer portion. Inside offers a pouch adequate enough to hold a 3l water bladder, and has an opening to allow the tube to exit. Outer shell is not waterproof, so if you get caught in a rain storm, which I have several times, you may need to bag items that are inside that may be affected by water. This pack is not for everyone, it does say unisex, but if you have a short torso, this will be to tall, I am 5'11" and it is just a bit big on me, nothing bad, but it is for tall folk.
Super light backpack, September 23, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Columbia Sportswear Unisex Adult Mobex Float AR Backpack (Sports) This backpack is super light and easy to wear. I forget I'm carrying a backpack the last few times I wore it. I am very happy with my Mobex Float AR.
