The straps are placed too wide apart for him. It's a fine small backpack for adults, but not for small kids.

Good sturdy backpack. It's a bit large for my 6 year old but he loves it anyway. He doesn't use a backpack for daily school use but just for family outings or trips and it's perfect.

It's smaller than a school backpack and is great for hiking and biking for my kids (6, 8 and 10 years old). They all love it and find it comfortable. The straps are nicely padded. The zipper pulls make it really easy to open and close. It's just a great multi-purpose bag. We'll be using it to go on road trip as well. (I should mention that it's probably not big enough for school folders, etc so I wouldn't purchase it as a school backpack)
