Well-suited for travel, October 20, 2012 By rdubbs (New York, NY) - See all my reviews This review is from: Asolo Village Sling 7-Liter Daypack (Sports) I bought this bag for traveling, when I want to be able to bring a minimal number of items (maybe a guidebook, water bottle, camera). Key points were:
- Small
- Light
- Does not encumber me or restrict movement
- Pocket on front strap for camera (KEY - I hate having to remove my bag and get a camera out)
This meant a normal backpack was largely out - too annoying to take off and put on all the time.
This bag works well. Pros:
(1) Small. My paperback copy of War+Peace stretches it a little bit. A decently sized dictionary would push it, and a textbook would never fit. Don't think an iPad would even fit in it. But for a water bottle, and a Kindle - perfect
(2) Front pocket on that one is nice and big. My Panasonic DMC-LX5 fits perfectly, and that's saying something as it is larger than a 'true' compact like a Canon S95, and has a protruding lens
