Great B.O.B./3 Day Assault pack., March 28, 2011 By Mr. Tangent (Mount Vernon, Missouri United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Spec-Ops T.H.E. Pack, Multicam - 100280119 (Misc.) I purchased this bag primarily as my B.O.B./G.H.B./G.O.O.D. (insert your own acronyms here) bag. I'm very impressed with it so far. LOADS of PALS webbing. I absolutely love that they're made in the United States. The interior is bright yellow, which really aids in low light searching. The outer pockets are quite large and hold a ton of stuff.
The zippers are heavy duty YKK and will stand up to a lot of abuse, as will everything on this pack. Everything is superbly designed and executed. However, I do think it needs some features/additions:
1. A lot of similar packs have breathable padding where the pack rests on the back. I would like to see breathable padding added (think TAD Gear's F.A.S.T. Pack).
2. I do not like a lot of velcro on a pack, but it would be nice if there was SOME velcro. There should be an area on the top outer pocket for a nametag and maybe blood type/morale patches, etc. I've seen PALS webbing with a velcro stitched to it. If they... Read more

Great Pack But Needs To Be Updated., October 30, 2011 By This review is from: Spec-Ops T.H.E. Pack, Multicam - 100280119 (Misc.) I bought THE PACK from a sale going on at SPECOPS Brand website as a Bug out bag for my wife. There are many good things about this pack and a couple of negative ones I would like to address.
The Pros.
First, I like the fact that it's made in America. That's not important to everyone, but since this is geared towards the military it means it's Mil-Spec and it's Berry Amendment Compliant. Plus it gives our people jobs.
Second, the 1000D Cordura is fantastic. the material is stiff which I like, it's abrasive resistant. And the craftsmanship is very good. It's a little better than my Camelbak BFM which is also very good.
Third, it's frameless but it is comfortable. I took it on two camping/hiking trips to test it out and I found thatit rides very comfortably on my back with the padding inside allowing me to hike longer with less discomfort, and also the shoulder straps were comfortable also.
Fourth, The MOLLE webbing is fantastic for... Read more

The Tool of the Trade, December 3, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Spec-Ops T.H.E. Pack, Multicam - 100280119 (Misc.) As a member of the grey berets I personally know the hardships our equipment has to endure. My issued multicam backback was getting a little broken down and this was the first one I jumped on. I had to choose a pack I knew I could rely on. I ruck with this with up to 50 pounds and I know it can still hold more. Being made of nylon it is tough stuff. It is also MOLLE compatible so its super handy for attachments. The nicest feature I thought was the many straps, it has a nice waist strap and chest strap that sinches the shoulder peices together. It's just a nice peice of American made equipment by Spec Ops brand. I will use this till it dies
