It is not really a desert color as depicted and as noted by a previous buyer, but more of an OD green. I also don't know why it is labeled as "Offical" when there are no markings indicating it is an issued item? Maybe TAG is a subcontractor for the Govt. and makes backpacks for them? With 2000 cu. in it. is the right size for three changes of clothes a jacket and you miscellaneous stuff. A net-book will fit nicely in the hydration pouch and be well protected. I will ad some custom interior pockets to hold my small stuff. The zippered compartments are much more secure than packs with smaller compartments on the back, it would be much more difficult for someone behind you on a bus to have access to you belongings.
