fan-freaking-tastic, September 25, 2012 This review is from: Gregory Women's Maya 18 Backpack (Sports) I am absolutely in love with this pack. I recently returned from a trip to Norway (with hiking) and Belgium (with city exploring) and am now completely in love. The bag is the perfect size for daytime exploring and day hikes. The pockets are deep enough to hold a camelbak water bottle, and it can also hold a camelbak bladder if you're into that. The pockets and zippers are well thought-out. As I used the back more, I found new uses for pockets and hooks and things. It was great in the airport as well because it fit below the seats. We packed larger backs for a 2 week Europe trip and then put these packs inside to use for daytime excursions. I selected this pack because it didn't have a solid back, and it could be packed up.

It's a bit smaller than most standard backpacks, which makes it perfect for carrying around the basics that you'd need on a day hike or day around town. I can easily fit a bladder for water, all my personal stuff, an extra shirt, and some other miscellaneous items. The pack is lightweight and very well configured, with lots of pockets and storage compartments. The water bladder storage area is well-designed with an outside zipper that makes it a lot easier to load. My only complaint is that the waist belt is a bit small, especially if you're wearing a bulky winter jacket. I am fairly small and it is a tight fit on me. But otherwise, this is a great little pack.
