I finally shelled out the cash and have been really pleased. The design of the Triab is very nice... and doesn't look like the typical bag. It has lots of space and is fully customizable. I'm a photographer and a coach and the ability to add straps to the inside is great for customizing space for all your gear. I'm sure this bag will last me the rest of my life. I'm really pleased that I spent the money on this. A+
Love 5.11; but, not this pack., January 20, 2013 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Unisex Tactical 5.11 Durable Triab 18 Sling Pack (Sports) I have several 5.11 products including the Rush 72 Pack. In comparison, the Triab's construction is very lacking in the area of the main support straps. The straps are sewn in by one seam and seem weak compared to its Rush backpack counterparts. A friend and I both bought one of these and within two weeks, one of his main support straps started to separate from the pack. He mainly wore his in 'Single-Sling' configuration.
This pack can be worn using two main support straps or one. When wearing it in single-sling, it performs well at keep your sidearm reach free of obstruction while doing quite well at holding the pack in place.
Wearing it with both support straps as a standard backpack, I found the pack to be uncomfortable. I am 6', 190 lbs, and have an average build. The straps are angled in a manner that I found hard to make comfortable. This pack was definitely designed in favor of a single-sling pack.
